Rebuilding

The Open Society Archives at Central European University cordially invites you to the opening of Rebuilding Hungarian synagogues, prayer houses, prayer rooms 1980-87, an exhibition of selected photographs by Dr. Anikó Gazda, followed by a roundtable discussion, on December 2, 2004, 5:00 pm at the Toldi movie theater (Budapest, 1054 Bajcsy-Zsilinszky E. út 36/38)

Participating in the discussion will be Zsuzsanna Toronyi, Archivist, Jewish Museum and Archives, Géza Komoróczy, Director of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences Judaism Research Center and András Mink, Historian.

At the same time the Auschwitz-Reconstruction 1945-89 on-line exhibition will open.
Prior to the two openings a documentary film: The last days by James Moll will be shown from 2 pm
This is the opening event of the "History After the Fall" 3 year cooperation project which is part of the European Union Culture 2000 program.
