Textual materials

1. Volume of requested materials
   OSA encourages researchers to use their own equipment in the Research Room to make digital images of materials of their choice. Upon request the staff of OSA digitizes images and mails the CDs with the images to the requester. In such cases the minimum charging unit is 25 images. (So, for example, if you order 30 images, you will be charged for twice 25.) OSA provides researchers with CD and the price of this medium is included in the charge.
2. Production costs
   Digitizing a unit of 25 images is HUF 2,500 (10 Euro).
3. Shipping costs
   Calculated by OSA after receipt of the Textual Materials Order Form and are added to the production costs total. Alternatively, copies can be picked up at OSA Reception Monday to Friday, between 9 am and 5 pm. Address: 1051 Budapest, Arany János utca 32.
4. Usage
   Images are produced solely for academic and research purposes under the copyright and archival restriction regulations in effect. (see Textual Materials OrderForm.rtf)
5. Deadlines
   Digitizing is limited by the Archives' technical capacity and priorities. Deadlines for researchers will be negotiated case by case in relation to the quantities requested.
6. Urgency

Audiovisual materials

Please note: audio-visual materials are reproduced only for non-commercial research and educational purposes as watermarked, low resolution preview copies. Should you wish to use all or part of the footage for public and/or for profit purposes (e.g. exhibits, film projects, public screenings, etc.) OSA will direct you to the copyright holders. Clean, full size audio-visual material is provided only with permission (written consent) from the copyright holder.

1. Length of requested materials
   Films 60 minutes or less in duration can be ordered only in full length version. 30 minutes is the minimum length of excerpts of films that can be ordered. The minimum charging unit is 30 minutes. (E.g. if you order a 40-minute film, you will be charged for twice 30 minutes.)
2. Media
   - Copies of video materials: OSA provides researchers exclusively with DVD copies.
   - Copies of non-digital and digital sound recordings: OSA provides researchers with CDs.
   - Copies of photographs: OSA provides researchers with scanned images (screen quality only) on CD-ROM.
3. Production costs
   
   Reproduction
   From VHS/Beta/DVD to DVD: 5000 HUF (20 Euro) / hour
   From analogue sound (MC, OR) to CD: 2000 HUF (8 Euro) / hour
   From digital sound (CD) to CD: 2500 HUF (10 Euro) / hour
   From photo print to CD-R: (for max. size 18x24 cm, incl. scanning + saving on CD-R): 1,200 HUF (5 Euro) / image

   DVD 4.7 GB + cover: 300 HUF (1.5 Euro)
   CD + cover : 300 HUF (1.5 Euro)
