The activities of the civil defense units and teams in a nuclear catastrophe areaAccording to a hypothetical scenario, the enemy launches a nuclear strike against a town. The civil defense forces have to take into account various hazards, while conducting their rescue effort. Their duties include the provision of general and specialized training courses, the securing of access and exit routes, search and rescue in damaged public shelters, decontamination and transportation. They have carry out these tasks differently in each sector, depending on the degree of damage and as far as possible in cooperation with the other authorities.
