Palestinian women make their way back from a day in Israel to their home on a dirt hill in the middle of the eastern Jerusalem village of Jabel Mukabar. The dirt hill was placed in the middle of the village by the Israeli government in order to separate the Sheikh Sa'ad neighborhood from the rest of the village.

As an elderly Palestinian man waits for a taxi to take him to Jerusalem, a family walks by a concrete wall that was erected the previous week in the eastern Jerusalem village of Sawachra. The concrete wall is not continuous but has gaps that allow people to pass from one side to the other, while blocking the movement of cars.

Palestinian men wait on an early morning for a taxi to take them to Jerusalem. They stand near concrete barriers that were placed the previous week in the eastern Jerusalem village of Sawachra. The barriers are intended to stop stones and dirt from sliding onto houses from above, where work on a separation fence is being carried out; in the meantime, these barriers block the road.
