The exhibition catalogue consists of twenty-page long essay by the curator of the exhibit, Petr Roubal, featuring in depth the core topics of the exhibition: the origins of the mass gymnastic displays, the transformation of the Foucauldian discipline in the communist ritual, the grammar of mass body language, and the withering away of the mass gymnastics with the end of classical modernity. The text is accompanied by some 40 photographs, carefully selected by the editor of the catalogue, Orsolya Danó, from several Central European archival sources. Together with the extensive bibliography, the exhibition catalogue presents the first systematic treatment of the unique phenomenon of the mass gymnastic displays under communism.
