The Galeria is an extension of the Archives: it opens up and makes available to the larger public what is usually hidden, and used only by the select group of researchers. The exhibition hall, and its mutation on the internet, provide space for relating textual traces of the past to visual signs, thereby contextualizing the documents and making them available for unexpected new readings.

The Galeria aims at resonance: to help the visitors understand the dynamics of the world from which the documents (text, images, and objects) emerge, and witness the changes, which the interplay of the documents creates.

The Galeria, especially its virtual version, is consciously used as an educational tool for institutions of higher learning, and provides specific, high-quality material on recent history, human and information rights.
